Bedroom Furniture for Shopaholics

Probably the most important thing in a shopaholics life, apart from their credit card, is their wardrobe. Decently sized bedroom furniture is a must to squeeze in all those purchases. It's something of a cliché that women shopaholics hide their bags of newly purchased clothes and shoes at the back of their wardrobes, hoping their other halves won't notice. But in fact, it's men who may be perusing bedroom furniture stores on the look out for a King-sized wardrobe – new research suggests that men are Britain's biggest internet shopaholics.

Need a Bigger Wardrobe? Turn to Online Bedroom Furniture Shops

The research shows that men are now the country's shopaholics – thanks to the internet. Online shopping has revolutionised how men shop. Research has shown that men dislike aimless browsing from shop to shop, but prefer to know what they want, locate it, get it and get out. The internet then is the perfect solution – and it seems the result is men have overtaken women on the shopping stakes. The average man, a survey by online payment firm PayPal said, spends £1,300 a year on internet shopping, with 13 million men shopping online for everything from bedroom furniture to cosmetics. Some experts believe men have always loved to buy things – especially big items like bedroom furniture – but just hated going round the shops. So now, men can buy a bigger wardrobe online to stuff all the new clothes they're buying into!

Shopping Online: The Gender Gap

Men would rather buy bedroom furniture online because using technology to shop is more suited to their mindsets. Online, men can find better deals than in the shops – they can easily compare and contrast the competition and find a huge selection of bedroom furniture at the tip of their fingertips. Shopping online gives them greater peace of mind that they are not being ripped off as well as giving them a stronger sense of control over making major purchases, with all the information available on their monitors. It's thought that this gender gap when it comes to shopping habits will only increase as more men wake up to the convenience and comfort of shopping online. One survey found that 41% of men plan to do as much of their shopping as possible over the internet as opposed to just 29% of women.
