Furnituretoday are able to offer a selection of finance deals that provide customers an alternative to paying by debit or credit card at the time of ordering. Online finance can also be a convenient way to get the furniture you want, when you want it, without breaking the bank! Our online finance options give you the ability to spread the cost of the furniture you want now, over a time frame that suits you and your budget.
Please note that online finance is for consumer - non business - customers only. Online finance is only an option and should you prefer you can pay in the normal way by credit card or debit card.

Types of finance

Furnituretoday currently offers two finance options that are available on all orders over £650.

Option 1 - interest free over 6 months

Our interest free finance scheme is what it says, interest free - simple - no deposit.
You simply pay 6 monthly payments which will total no more than the cash price of your purchase.
Please see the example below of a finance package over the 6 months term.

Applying for finance online

Applying for online finance couldn't be easier. Once you've chosen the furniture you'd like to buy, choose the finance option at the checkout and complete an on-line application form. Just follow the simple instructions, entering your personal details as required.

Frequently asked questions

When will my application be processed?

If your online application is received between 9am and 8pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank & Public holidays), 9am and 6pm on Saturday, or 10am and 5pm on Sunday then in the majority of cases, you will receive a decision within a matter of minutes. If you submit your application outside of these hours, then you will usually receive a response the next working day. You will be sent an email to confirm the status of your application when it has been processed.

What happens next?

As soon as you application is approved, you will be sent a secure link via e-mail where you can download a copy of your credit agreement. If you prefer, you can request a pre-printed hard copy that can be sent to you via normal post. Your agreement will include a copy of the terms and conditions. Once received, please read the agreement carefully, then sign and return it to the finance company. Please note we are unable to order or allocate products until your completed and signed agreement has been received.

Will you credit score me?

Credit scoring is used by all financial services companies to evaluate the credit risk of applicants. This method will be used to process your application for online finance. Credit scoring works by awarding points for each item of information given on the application form such as age, income and occupation, together with information obtained from credit reference agencies. This allows us to produce consistent decisions and ensure all applicants are treated fairly. Credit scoring is completely unbiased and does not discriminate on the grounds of sex, race, religion, disability or colour.

Why would my application be declined?

As well as credit scoring, confirming your identity, validation of application details, existing financial commitments and information held at the credit reference agencies are all taken into account. Though you will not be provided with a main reason for decline of your application, it can usually based on one, or a combination of the following:
1. Your credit score (note: different finance companies can score differently)
2. Adverse credit reference agency information
3. You are considered to be over committed
4. You are aged under 18
5. Your existing account performance with other lenders

What information do credit reference agencies hold about me?

Some of the information is public information, for example electoral roll, County Court Judgements and bankruptcies. Other lenders may also file information about accounts you hold with them for instance this could include your payment history and outstanding balance on these accounts. Any requests for credit, where a credit reference search has been undertaken, will also be filed, although the result of the request is not recorded.

Can I obtain a copy of this information?

Yes, you can. To do this you need to make a small payment – usually £2 to the relevant credit agency. You will also have to give them details of all addresses that you have lived at for the previous 6 years. Details of the two main credit agencies are given below.

The above listed agencies will provide details of information relating to you and the addresses you have given them. If you believe the information to be incorrect, you can ask the agency to correct it.

If my application is not successful, can I pay by other means?

Yes. Simply go to the checkout as normal and choose another method or call our sales team direct on 0800 840 9575.

Am I eligible to apply for online finance?

To apply for online finance, you must be between the ages of 18 and 75, work 16 hours or more per week, or be retired with an income. You must be a resident of the United Kingdom and have lived in the UK for the last three years or more. Online finance is only available to residents of the United Kingdom. Homemakers aren't excluded from application under their own names, however employment details of a working spouse will be required to process your application.

Can I change my order once applying for online finance?

Your finance application is linked to the goods you have originally ordered. If you wish to amend your order it will be necessary to cancel your existing order and order again. If you wish to add additional items to your order you can do so using an alternative method payment.

Are my goods ordered or reserved before the approval process is complete?

Goods are only reserved our ordered on your behalf once the signed copy of the agreement has been received by the finance company. To minimise any risk of delay please return the signed agreement as soon as possible.
