Sleigh Bedroom Furniture
| The Sleigh Bedroom Furniture collection from Multay is derived from French carpentry of the early 1800’s. During the reign of the emperor Napoleon, they made beds with trademark curves on both the headboard and footboard to resemble a horse-drawn sleigh. The collection brings together a range of classic Bedroom Furniture designs that are timeless in appeal due to their simplicity and versatility. Multay only uses timber from government controlled renewable sources. They only use dry and seasoned timber to manufacture the furniture. Their finishing techniques produce outstanding reproductions, they have over 16 years manufacturing experience in Indonesia and with the help of expatriate craftsman they produce some of the finest handcrafted furniture in the world. Their eight-step technique allows the natural grain of the wood to show through. The final process involves an antique beeswax application which produces a beautiful patina and enhances the perceived value of the furniture. |

Also made by the same craftsmen, the Sleigh Bedroom Furniture range is based on designs by French carpenters of the early 1800’s during the reign of the emperor Napoleon. Inspired by the curves of a horse-drawn sleigh, the range includes the Sleigh bed, wardrobe, dresser, bedside cabinet, chests of drawers and cheval mirror.
